INNOVATIONS OF CURVE SUMMER 2018

Concluding a very successful summer session of CURVENEWYORK and CURVELASVEGAS, Eurovet Americas focused on a mindset of innovation and continued improvements during both shows.

CURVENEWYORK saw a 5.8% increase in core lingerie buyers in attendance. In addition to the establishment of new events, a strong offering of innovative brands, and a concept trend area, attendees were overall happy with the new direction of the show. Attendees noted excellence especially in the helpfulness of the CURVE team, the assortment of new brands, and the overall environment of the show.

CURVE offered an inside look into the role of body-positive influencers and how brands are interacting with them to further their product reach to all women. The Body Positivity Panel was moderated by Jenny Rieu, a major intimate apparel influencer, and creator of Oh La La PR. The discussion focused on how the Intimate Apparel industry is embracing body positivity through the inclusion of all in their campaigns, more inclusive size ranges and designs fit for everyone. The panel was presented to 125+ retailers and received positive feedback.

CURVELASVEGAS saw a bustling Day 1 with aisles full and many brands busy with appointments. The show featured a solid representation of core lingerie/swim stores. This summer, new activations such as THE STORE and The Concept Lounge were introduced to provide attendees with additional outlets to discover new product and new trends to introduce to their store. CURVE hosted a cocktail hour on Day 1 which was well received by both brands and attendees.

Newly introduced to CURVE this season was THE STORE – a concept showroom displaying a curated mix of lingerie, swimwear and accessory brands. The goal was to provide buyers with a modern shopping experience, allowing them to discover new products at their own pace. For brands featured, including Aurore San, Chantelle, Comfort + Co, Cardo Paris, La Serviette Paris, LELO and Modcloth, it gave them a presence at CURVELASVEGAS in a unique setting.
